MEMORIAL FOR DR. KYUJIN JUNG

From Ashley E. English

Dr. Kyujin Jung was a prolific scholar, but to me, he was a brother. Kyujin was in my cohort as we pursued doctoral degrees in Public Administration & Management at the University of North Texas. From the moment we met, I knew we would help and support one another. Over the four years of our studies, we laughed, vented, celebrated achievements, and just did life together. Our oldest sons were born within months of each other, so we grew our families together. I enjoyed talking with Amy and encouraging them both. Kyujin’s scholarly record will live on in perpetuity, but for me, his kindness and love will be eternal. I thank God for my brother. I am grateful to have met him, and I am thankful for our friendship. Kyujin, you lived a good life. You made a difference. And while we all miss you terribly, you have definitely earned your rest. Amy and your precious boys are in our prayers, and we will do all we can to help them thrive.
